time and Genio's has been delighting people with fine Italian and American
food since 1952. The atmosphere is cozy and charming. Particularly
inviting is is the front dining room featuring comfortable booths.
There's great Italian food based on family
recipes; excellent seafood and a good selection of steaks and other American
favorites. Prices are reasonable and with generous servings (soup or salad
included with every entree) no one goes home hungry. There's entertainment
Fridays and Saturdays.

Here's a good tip for finding a good restaurant.
Track down those restaurants that are actually owned by the chef, giving
special attention to those with open kitchens where the chef cooks for all
to see. I'm going to spare you the frustration of trying to find such a
rarity and point you to Milano's in Glendale.
The restaurant, with its soaring ceilings,
attractive bar and tasteful finishings has a nice bistro feel to it. The
focal point is the expansive open kitchen where Chef/Owner Claudio
Brusamolino prepares his superb Northern Italian cuisine. Sure enough,
Milano's has been voted Glendale's best Italian restaurant two years in a
row. Pasta favorites include: Fettuccine Con Pollo ai Carciofi with chicken,
baby artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and roasted garlic; Pennine Con Salmone
E Asparagi with fresh Atlantic Salmon, asparagus, Roma tomatoes in a light
parmesan cream sauce. Carnivores rave about the Braciale Di Maiale Alia
Griglia - two 1/2 lb. center cut pork chops served on a ragout of mushrooms,
onions and white beans. There are fish specials every night and very good
pizzas done in a wood fired oven. Prices are reasonable and portions
generous.

Luna Notte features first class food, reasonable
prices and a chic bistro style atmosphere complete with a large outdoor
patio for warm weather dining.
The pastas are all made right in the restaurant
and the sauces are among the best I've had anywhere. Seafood lovers rave
about the Seafood Pescatore - heaped with calamari, clams and baby shrimp.
The Fettuccini Con Gamberi with tiger shrimp in an alfredo sauce and Petto
di PolIo - chicken breast with a lemon sauce are other favorites.

Widely acclaimed for its superb selection of
seafood, the new management of the Rusty Pelican has recently introduced a
Euro-Fusion sub menu, as an intro to the upcoming 'Cove' concept, which will
be a unique addition to the San Gabriel Valley's dining experience.
Northwest Salmon is prepared three different
ways: oven roasted with a crab stuffing; sauteed with a mustard seed crust;
or charbroiled and served with a lobster cream sauce. Other favorites
include the Blackened Ahi Tuna Rare with fresh tropical fruit salsa and the
Islander Mahi Mahi, macadamia nut crusted, and served with orange pineapple
sauce as well as Lobster Tails. Wine drinkers will appreciate the

Here's a good family owned restaurant. Owner
Maurizio Iacono is a native of Sicily and has brought his family's rich
tradition of fine cuisine to his new restaurant in Glendale. The food is of
course Southern Italian - hearty Sicilian. To execute the family recipes,
Maurizio has lured talented chef Alex Lomeli from a pricey Westside
restaurant. The food is excellent. Everything is authentic here, even
the pasta is made fresh from scratch daily. Prices are very reasonable with
the menu's most expensive item only $14.00.
The restaurant itself is a pleasantly expansive
space with a comfortably bustling atmosphere. The air is filled with mouth
watering aromas emanating from the wood fired oven and open kitchen. The
restaurant is open till midnight Tuesday - Thursday and till 2am Friday and
Saturday - perfect for an after theatre meal or a drink.
